Our client's vision extends beyond stunning vistas and serene surroundings. They imagine a haven where senior members of the community can experience the same joy and comfort as every other visitor.
Synergizing Human, Space, and Nature
This dedication to senior comfort goes beyond mere functionality. Every aspect, from the soft lighting to the calming color palette, is chosen to cultivate a sense of peace and well-being. These cottages become not just shelters but sanctuaries, where relaxation and joyful experiences await all ages.
Nestled near mystical Lake Batur, where rolling hills once sprouted vibrant forests, lies Wanagiri. "Wana" whispers of its forested past, while "giri" echoes the hilltop perch commanding breathtaking 360-degree panoramas of emerald coffee plantations.
Understanding the importance of preserving the existing coffee plantation was paramount for our client, Mr. Simon, whom we fondly refer to as "Uncle Simon." His innovative suggestion? Elevating the building structures entirely. This concept resonated strongly with us. By raising the buildings, we not only minimize the building footprints, but also simplify future maintenance activities, with easy access to vital systems directly beneath each cottage.

Imagine a verdant ribbon, a slender strip of land where coffee plants bask under the sun. This seemingly limited canvas, however, becomes the stage for a remarkable architectural feat: seven distinct cottages, each a haven of tranquility nestled within the landscape.

No two homes gaze directly upon one another; instead, each enjoys its own serene corner, enveloped by the rustling symphony of leaves. This mindful design fosters a sense of individual sanctuary while preserving the delicate balance of community.

The selection of a steel structure for this project is not simply a matter of practicality, but a deliberate choice driven by environmental responsibility. Recognizing the delicate balance of the surrounding coffee plantation, we prioritised a construction method that minimizes disruption to the existing ecosystem.

Perched at the precipice of the verdant landscape, a public viewing deck invites the community to gather and soak in the breathtaking panoramas. As you weave through its curves, the circular design fosters a sense of community.
As people navigate the curving path, conversation flows naturally, laughter echoes, and shared moments of awe bind them together.
We have a viewing deck before the land drops, this is open for public and act as a space for the community to enjoy the view.
