“Oasis of Usra” – A Home Rooted in Warmth and Togetherness

Synergizing Human, Space, and Nature

The Alhussayni Residence was envisioned as more than just a house—it’s a sanctuary. Inspired by the concept of Usra (Arabic for “family”), this home was designed as an oasis—a nurturing, peaceful refuge amidst the pace of modern life. A place to return to. A space that grounds, heals, and reenergizes.

Design Philosophy
With a strong focus on family-centered living, the design blends serenity and functionality through an earthy palette, organic materials, and a warm, modern sensibility. We embraced a tropical calm—achieved through the seamless flow between indoor and outdoor spaces, complemented by natural light, tactile textures, and mindful spatial zoning.
Each room is tailored to support daily rituals and relationships, while offering its own moment of character and pause.

Key Design Highlights
●    Material Palette: Limestone, travertine, lime-wash walls, wood veneers, and green marble form a calming, nature-inspired base. Soft fabric finishes and bronze metal accents add refinement and depth.
●    Foyer, Living & Dining: Warm and welcoming, with textures that evoke nature and softness. Clean lines meet loose furniture arrangements, creating relaxed, livable elegance.
●    Kitchen & Pantry: Function meets intimacy. The kitchen island and breakfast nook serve as casual gathering spots, while cabinetry and finishes remain cohesive with the home’s warm, grounded tone.

●    Swimming Pool Area: A visual and spatial retreat—lush, open, and framed by natural wood and stone. Skylights and landscape details bring softness and connection to the outdoors.
●    Bedrooms & Bathrooms: Comfort-driven design with layered textures. The master suite features potted plants, walnut cabinetry, green marble accents, and travertine surfaces—all creating a spa-like calm.
●    Man Cave: A personalized retreat filled with character—wood, marble, moody lighting, and curated cabinetry, creating a sophisticated space for solitude and reflection.

Conclusion
The Alhussayni Residence embodies what a modern family home in Jeddah can be—rooted in heritage, shaped by nature, and designed to nurture human connection.

An oasis where everyday life slows down and the essence of “home” is deeply felt.
